If you really are set against exercising after a long day, then take the dog for a walk or go play with the kids. Do something, don't just come home and sit down. Absolutely, I agree that a good stretch, especially in the morning, can turn a potentially dull day into a pleasantly acceptable day. I have always preferred exercising in the mornings. Next to my cup of coffee, nothing gets me going like an hour of physical activity. Thanks for the reminder.
